Time Based Editions
We are a small publishing initiative operating as a not-for-profit in Athens. We put effort into thinking distribution differently, bypassing larger distribution conglomerates in order to pay contributors and authors. Before you place your online order with us, we suggest you have a look at our

1. Shipments
Delays may occur due to (post)pandemic malaise, Brexit and other restrictions around borders. Our shipping prices, as indicated at the check out, are flat-rate. The shipping cost for sending out 1 copy is the same as for shipping 2 or 3 copies. In working with flat-rates, we make it possible for people further from the usual logistic centers to have access to our books. Your shipment is handled on a daily basis by our fulfillment company Süd-Ost Services in Waldkirchen, Germany. Average shipping time is 7-10 business days within Europe and 3-4 weeks for locations outside of Europe. Do contact us before placing your oder if you are willing to pay for a faster method. We recommend you to use a postal address where you can be sure someone can receive packages during working hours: 9:00–20:00 from Monday to Friday.
2. Customs
Please note that you are responsible for any additional import duties and taxes on your international order. Additionally, some orders may experience customs delays. Unfortunately, we do not have insight regarding these charges, and we suggest you contact your local customs office for further information.
3. Purchase and Payments
All purchases are final. We accept payments by PayPal, or Debit/Credit card. Thank you for your patience and for supporting an ecosystem of small publishers.
4. Returns
If a parcel is returned to our warehouse for reasons attributable to you, we will send you an email to ask if you would like to pay for a second attempt. This time all shipping costs will be yours to pay. If we don’t receive an answer, we assume you have abandoned the order placed. In that case, no refunds are applicable. Should you decide to return an order for refund, please note that Time Based Editions cannot be responsible for any customs duties or fees associated with return shipments and that any incurred costs will be deducted from your refund.
5. Order arrives damaged
Paper is a living organism. Small damages may occur and we consider this part of the book-making and distribution process. If, however, you are not satisfied with how your order reaches you, do get in touch with both db [@] timebasededitions.com and prechtl [at] suedost-service.de we will find a solution together.
6. Your data
We do not store your payment data. We only collect your address for the purpose of shipping you the books. We do not store your e-mail address. If you would like to receive our newsletter, do sign up under 'Contact'.
